For 60 years, the Helen Ross McNabb Center has been providing out-patient mental health care services in Knoxville and East Tennessee. In the beginning, the McNabb Center began as a child guidance clinic and has evolved through the years to become a multi-service regional agency. The Center currently operates in 29 distinct locations 17 East Tennessee counties, providing mental health care, addicition/recovery treatment and social services for children, adults and families. Our staff cares for the most vulnerable of our society and many of them have no resources or insurance coverage to pay for care.

Although healthcare is constantly changing, our original reason for existence remains the same, providing quality, compassionate and confidential mental health care, addiction/recovery treatment and social services. Even though the Center is constantly changing to meet the needs of the community, our mission of improving the lives of the people we serve is still our most important goal.

The Helen Ross McNabb Center offers services equally to eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, handicap or age.
